BUSINESS OWNER PARTICIPATION
All New York City business owners, regardless of ethnicity, gender, or M/WBE certification status, are strongly encouraged to participate in the study. This includes subcontractors, subconsultants, or suppliers that have done business with or attempted to do business with prime firms that submit bids, quotes, or proposals on City contracts. Your comments and/or recommendations may be used to modify the City’s existing procurement policies or M/WBE Program.
MGT of America conducted five (5) community meetings in each borough of New York City to present the Study’s objectives and gather input from business owners on their experiences doing business or attempting to do business with the City or its Prime vendors between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2015.
New York City business owners, both M/WBE- and non-M/WBE-owned, may still provide information about their experiences doing business, or attempting to do business with the City or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Input gathered during the community meetings and any written comments will be analyzed as the basis for recommendations to improve the City’s M/WBE Program.
Additionally, business owners may be contacted to provide feedback through the following invitation-only opportunities:
- In-depth interviews
- Surveys, and
- Focus groups
